Temperature Measurement

A customized fiber optic temperature measurement solution is expected and is a core competency of LumaSense Technologies. LumaSense is the premier provider to the semiconductor industry equipment manufacturers with its Luxtron products and has hundreds of Fluoroptic® thermometry (FOT) probes, remote sensors, and instruments designed-in and installed in plasma etch and deposition chambers (CVD, ALD, and PVD) worldwide. We provide R&D support and joint design development to the leading semiconductor equipment companies through out the world.

We provide optical fiber thermometry (optical pyrometry) solutions. Our Photrix™ products are used in specialized applications throughout the semiconductor and compound semiconductor industry.

Mikron Infrared (USA) and Impac Infared (Europe) fixed imaging systems are used worldwide in a wide variety of heavy industrial  applications.

Anesthesia Monitoring

In the operating room, real-time monitoring of gases inspired and expired by the anesthetized patient is vital to ensuring their safety. LumaSense Technologies (Andros, located in Richmond, CA) has been a pioneer in the development of technologies used for monitoring anesthetic agents, C02, and N20, which have been instrumental in setting the standards of care for gas monitoring. more>>

Automotive Emissions

Historically, vehicle exhaust emissions have been a major contributor to the world's air pollution problems. The direct relationship between reducing vehicle emissions and producing cleaner air has been clearly established. The added benefit of monitoring vehicle emissions for known pollutants (Hydrocarbons, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, and Nitric Oxide) is better fuel efficiency to help conserve our limited fuel supply.

LumaSense Technologies provides the technology and products for accurate and cost-effective emissions measurement. Our products are used worldwide on a daily basis and help in the identification and repair of "dirty" vehicles.  more >>

Refrigeration Leak Detection

The food storage industry faces the constant threat of spoilage. The undetected loss of refrigerant gas can have severe financial and environmental consequences. Exposure to some refrigerants pose a health threat as well.

LumaSense Technologies' (Andros, located in Richmond, CA) NDIR technology provides an economic means for the early detection of leaking refrigerant gas.

Landfill Emissions Monitoring

With global warming concerns making headlines, everyday sources of GHGs are coming under scrutiny for monitoring and mitigation. Landfills are sources of methane emissions, a more potent Green House Gas (GHG)  than CO2.  Methane, poses problems both as a GHG and as a potential fire hazard. LumaSense Technologies' Andros NDIR technology provides an economic means for the early detection of methane, CO2 and low levels of carbon monoxide emanating from active and closed landfills. more>>

Agriculture Gas Measurement (AGM)

In livestock facilities, ammonia results primarily from the breakdown of urea (present in urine) by the enzyme urease (excreted in feces). In poultry, urease is excreted with uric acid.. Strategies to reduce ammonia from animal housing focus primarily on preventing ammonia formation and volatilization, or downwind transmission of ammonia after it is volatilized. LumaSense Technologies' Andros NDIR technology provides an economic means for the early detection of excess Ammonia and CO2 emanating from active and closed landfills. more>>

Incinerator Stack Monitoring

The most important waste gases produced by incinerators are carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and oxides of nitrogen (NO and NO2, together known as NOx). The major problem with carbon dioxide is through its contribution to the enhancement of Earth's greenhouse effect. (Andros 6512 with NO sensor). more>>

Indoor Air Quality Management (AQM)

Indoor air pollutants can be generated by outdoor or indoor sources, including building maintenance activities, pest control, housekeeping, renovation or remodeling, new furnishings or finishes, and building occupant activities.  One important goal of an indoor air quality program is to minimize people's exposure to pollutants from these sources. Some of the key gaseous pollutants include: emissions from products used in the building (e.g., office equipment; furniture, wall and floor coverings; and cleaning and consumer products) accidental spill of chemicals, and gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide.

LumaSense Technologies' Andros NDIR technology provides an economic means for the monitoring of many Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide and CO2 emanating from indoor and outdoor activities.

Fermentation Monitoring & Control

Monitoring and controlling fermentation processes can be better controlle by being able to measure key components during the fermentation in high volume production.  Some of the more familiar fermentation products are:

  • Ethanol Production Breweries
  • Wine Production
  • Pharmaceuticals

LumaSense Technologies' Andros NDIR technology can provide an economic means for the monitoring of fermentation processes with several different products
