Anesthesia Monitoring |
 |
In the operating room, real-time monitoring of gases inspired and expired by the anesthetized patient is vital to ensuring their safety. LumaSense Technologies (Andros, located in Richmond, CA) has been a pioneer in the development of technologies used for monitoring anesthetic agents, C02, and N20, which have been instrumental in setting the standards of care for gas monitoring. Today, microprocessor-controlled digital devices provide accurate temperature and pressure compensated data even in the presence of multiple gases.
LumaSense's gas analyzer is integrated as a component of OEM gas monitoring systems, and can identify and measure all five anesthetic agents (Halothame, Isoflurane, Enfluorane, Sevofluorane, Desfluorane), plus C02, N20, and 02. This highly integrated and automated approach provides the anesthesiologist with detailed real-time information.
