Temperature Monitoring

LumaSense Technologies' temperature measurement product lines consist of fiber optic and optical technologies.

Our fiber optic temperature measurement (FOT) product line has three instruments:

  • FOT Lab Kit - Fiber optic temperature measurement sensors for
industrial R&D, non-clinical medical and biomedical research, animal testing.

  • Biomedical Lab Kit - Fiber optic temperature sensor medical research

  • I652 Industrial Monitor - Industrial-grade fiber optic temperature measurement
system with 2-line display for monitoring industrial processes.

Temperature Measurement Applications include:

  • Process monitoring of dielectric (RF and Microwave) heating processes.
  • Heat monitoring of “live” electrical circuits during lifetime testing
  • Monitoring of acidic or harsh chemical reactions with inert probes
  • Temperature monitoring of microwave processing of foods
  • Temperature monitoring of implantable devices in MRI fields (MR compatible)
  • Monitoring and control of electrostatic chucks (ESC) in semiconductor processes

Optical Thermometry (Pyrometer) Applications

A non-contact temperature sensor (optical pyrometer), the Photrix™ offers fast, short wavelength optical pyrometer with the industry’s best signal-to-noise ratio for precise control non-contact control of thermal processes.

Applications include:

  • Monitoring of heat treating processes in hostile environments
  • Temperature control of glass fiber drawing
  • Compound semiconductor and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) temperature monitoring and control of multi-layer deposition processes
  • Gas turbine and combustion research and testing
