Thermal Comfort

Poor thermal comfort causes discomfort, headaches and even fatigue. As a result, people suffer both in terms of productivity and overall well-being.

The 1221 makes it easier to collect and analyse thermal comfort results. It can be connected to a PC and works with the dedicated Application Software 7301. The 1221 either automatically stores the measurement results for later transfer to a computer or online measurements where the results are directly displayd on the computer screen.

Complies with ISO 7730/CEN 27730; ISO 7726 Class C; ISO 7243/CEN27243; ASHRAE 55; SAE J2234, ISO 14505.
Calculated Comfort and Heat Stress Indices:

  • Predicted Mean Vote (PMV)
  • Percentage of dissatisfaction (PPD)
  • Draught rating
  • Turbulence intensity
  • Optimal operative temperature
  • Equivalent temperature
  • Effective temperature
  • Required sweat rate
  • Wet bulb globe temperature
