LumaSense fiber optics are installed in several different types of applications - from large transformers, GSU's, small power transformers, distribution transformers and critical transformers. We have been installed in 12.47kV secondary voltage / 15 MVA transformers. We have been installed on three phase 525/230kV 350 MVA OA rated transformers. We have also been installed in single phase 525/23034kV 220 MVA OA rated transformers with fiber optics in all three windings, series, common and tertiary. We have been installed in GSU's that are typically 15 to 26kV with the high voltage at 525kV. We have systems installed from 12kV up through auto transformers rated 525/230kV. As you can see, our experience is significant. We have also worked with several Transformer Manufacturers Globally (OEMs), with a below listing showing just a partial list of who we have worked. LumaSense Technologies is very proud of the fact that we go above and beyond to support OEM's through on-site training, procedure development, new product development and general support. Our rugged probes can withstand the activities of transformer installation where others fall short and continuously break. Probe breakage is devastating to to an OEM and can cause significant delays in delivery. With over 20 years of experience, we have developed a probe that is not only rugged, but worth of long term operations in transformers for decades.
