Mumbai (INDIA), May 3, 2011 – A sensors technology seminar being held in Mumbai this week will address issues that are critical to building advanced infrastructure in India, including smart grid-ready utilities and process-efficient industrial facilities.
The 2011 Global Sensing Solutions Seminar: “Understanding How Advanced Sensing Technologies Drive Efficiency and Energy Savings,” will be held Friday, May 6 at InterContinental The Lalit Mumbai. The event for the region’s top engineering firms will be hosted by LumaSense Technologies, Inc., a global manufacturer of light-based temperature and gas-measurement systems used in variety of industrial, energy and clean technology sectors.
The seminar begins at 7 p.m. and includes sessions on using advanced temperature-sensing technologies in industrial processes, as well as smart grid sensing solutions.
“Industrial facilities of all types need actionable data to run more efficiently, and this conference aims to show how to more-effectively use advanced sensors to get that data,” said LumaSense’s Brett Sargent, the event’s featured speaker. Mr. Sargent is a 20-year industry veteran with experience in sales, engineering and global supply chain. “India is rapidly building out their electrical infrastructure. This seminar will introduce sensors that provide real-time information about the health of energy assets which are critical to fully controlling and monitoring the grid.”
