LumaSense Technologies, Inc. Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Executive Appointments
Santa Clara, California, November 3, 2006 — LumaSense Technologies, Inc., a global sensing solutions company, announces that it has appointed Bill Tinsley to the position of Chief Financial Officer, Steve Uhlir, Vice President of Engineering, and Dale Derischebourg, Director of Operations.

Mr. Tinsley has over 20 years of financial and operational management experience across multiple technologies and business models. Most recently he was the CFO of Storm Ventures where he mentored early stage entrepreneurs and raised Storm’s first institutional fund. Prior to that, Bill was CFO of SoftPlus, at Applied Materials in various controller positions, and at Syntex Corporation in a number of finance and operating roles including service with Syntex Japan.
As Vice President of Engineering, Steve Uhlir will lead the LumaSense engineering team globally to develop the company’s new innovative sensing products.

Bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Uhlir was most recently at Sun Microsystems where he served as Vice President of Remote Services Delivery. In that role he directly managed a 770-person global support organization with backline engineering teams for all Sun products. During his career at Sun Steve also held a number of technical management roles as Vice President Product Technical Support, Vice President User Experience Engineering and Vice President of Solaris Engineering. Prior to that, he held various engineering management roles at IBM and Bell Labs. Mr. Uhlir holds a MS in Computer Engineering and a BS in Physics, both from Stanford University.

Dale Derischebourg joins LumaSense Technologies as Director of Operations. In this position, he is responsible for leading and implementing the company’s manufacturing operations on a global scale.

Mr. Derischebourg brings significant supply chain, procurement and operations leadership to LumaSense with experiences in key management roles most recently at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics where he was the Site Leader and Business Manager of their specialty lighting business. Prior to that, Dale was at GE Aircraft Engines. He also served as a U.S. Army Quartermaster Officer for 10 years in supply and logistics roles from the Company to the Division level. Mr. Derischebourg received his B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
