Built on LumaSense's successful Luxtron m600 OEM platform, the FOT Lab Kit is a fiber optic thermometry system that enables users to measure temperatures in harsh environments where conventional sensors like thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors are inadequate. This kit utilizes Luxtron's patented Fluoroptic technology (FOT) for measurement of temperature by exciting a phosphorescent sensor attached to the end of a fiber optic probe. This unique technology has found its use in a variety of applications including measurement and control of:
- Wafer, e-chuck and RF showerhead temperatures in semiconductor chambers
- Body and skin temperature during MR procedures,
- Tissue temperature during treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
- Winding temperatures in high voltage power transformers.
Fluoroptic Probes for the FOT Lab KitNon-metallic and electrically non-conductive, the unique Fluoroptic® probes available for use with the Lab Kit are immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and high voltages that adversely affect conventional sensors.
