Low Cost Fiber Optic Hot Spot Monitor for OEM Integration

LumaSense offers quality hot spot winding monitoring for OEM integration. The Luxtron m600 Utility FOT Module represents the "core" electronics used in Luxtron's WTS-22 , the 4th generation high-end hotspot controller and the ThermAsset^®2 monitor.

Housed in a compact, DIN-rail mountable enclosure, the m600 FOT module offers both RS-232 digital interface and analog outputs and is designed to integrate easily with a standard PC or SCADA system. With over 20 years of experience working with utilities and transformer OEMs, Luxtron's Applications engineers are available to support OEMs on probe installation and offer guidance on control design and setup.

At LumaSense Technolgoeis, we realize every transformer OEM faces unique challenges in integrating fiber optic technology into their transformers. So, we offer a custom development and integration program, which is designed to adapt our products to meet the requirements of our customers.

The Luxtron m600 Utility FOT module has been integrated into Dynamic Ratings' DRMCC monitoring, control and communication system. Prior to this integration, the addition of fiber optic winding temperature system required a separate control system. This integration has resulted in a cost effective solution for control of medium and large power transformers.
