Thermal Comfort Datalogger 1221

Thermal Comfort Datalogger with Transducers

Poor thermal comfort causes discomfort, headaches and even fatigue. As a result, people suffer both in terms of productivity and overall well being.

LumaSense datalogger Innova - 1221 makes it easier to collect and analyze thermal comfort results. It can be connected to a PC and works with the dedicated Application Software 7301. The 1221 either automatically stores the measurement results for later transfer to a computer or online measurements where the results are directly displayed on the computer screen.

Complies with ISO 7730/CEN 27730; ISO 7726 Class C; ISO 7243/CEN27243; ASHRAE 55; SAE J2234, ISO 14505.

Calculated Comfort and Heat Stress Indices:

  • Predicted Mean Vote (PMV)
  • Percentage of dissatisfaction (PPD)
  • Draught rating
  • Turbulence intensity
  • Optimal operative temperature
  • Equivalent temperature
  • Effective temperature
  • Required sweat rate
  • Wet bulb globe temperature

Uses:

  • Measuring of all physical parameters necessary to evaluate heat stress and thermal comfort
  • Calculating comfort indices PMV, PPD and DR
  • Calculating heat stress indices WBGT and required sweat rate
  • Calculation of ET*
  • For displaying measurement data and calculated indices as graphs in exportable format
  • Long duration (weeks) monitoring of the time history of thermal parameters
  • Logging data from third party transducers with analog outputs
  • As front end for a central data logger system

Features:

  • Complies with: ISO 7730/CEN 27730; ISO 7726 Class C; ISO 7243/CEN 27243; ISO 7933; ASHRAE 55; SAE J2234;ISO 14505
  • Modular system with four module slots for simultaneous connection of up to 12 transducers
  • Four modules available: Comfort Module UA 1276, Heat Stress Module UA 1277, Dry Heat Loss Module UA 1278 and Analog Interface Module UA 1346
  • Operates as both stand-alone and on-line instrument
  • Application Software 7301 included
  • Data can be read and displayed on-line, from a memory dump after off-line measurement, or from a disk file
  • Data is stored in spreadsheet format and can be re-used to calculate other indices
  • Input for up to 6 analog signals (V or mA)
  • Analog output of 6 measured values
