Repair, Calibration, and Service

Our repair service for Luxtron temperature products is designed to give you the quickest possible turn around. Our factory trained service engineers have vast experienced supporting a broad class of industries that use the Luxtron line of temperature measurement products. The LumaSense Technologies customer service center is located in Santa Clara, California. Office hours are 8-5pm Monday through Friday, California time.

Warranty Repair

LumaSense Technologies warrants all repair work to be free from material or workmanship defects for 90 days from the time of the repair shipment. This limited warranty applies only to equipment actually repaired by LumaSense Technologies during this specific Return Material Authorization (RMA). This limited warranty does not extend the normal warranty period for the product.

Calibration

LumaSense Technologies calibration services for Luxtron products are aimed at keeping your radiation thermometry product operating at the highest level of accuracy. Using NIST-traceable standards, your product is put through a comprehensive recalibration process and recertified. Recalibration is recommended once a year for optimal performance and accuracy.

Fiber optic product calibration services are also available for initial calibration of the instrument, fiber optic probes, and extensions, re-calibration at a different temperature, and calibration of a new set of probes and extensions with an older unit. The Luxtron line of fiber optic thermometry products do not require re-calibration unless there is a change to a customer's temperature range or a customer wants to use a new set of probes and extensions.

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for material returned to us without an RMA.

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders can be faxed or mailed directly to the LumaSense Technologies office in Santa Clara, California (fax number +1.408.727.1677 or +1.408.235.3883). To assist in expediting turnaround of your equipment, itâ??s recommended that a hard copy of the purchase order showing an amount to cover repair cost accompany the return when possible.

How to Initiate Repair & Calibration Services

Return Materials Authorization
To ensure accurate tracking of your equipment while it is in our facility, you will need an RMA. RMA numbers are required prior to the return of any item for repair or calibration. Please contact Luxtron customer support by email or call +1(408)727-1600 for proper return instructions.
When requesting an RMA by email please provide the following informations:
  • Your name
  • Company name
  • Company telephone number (please include your extension)
  • Part number of the product you wish to send us
  • Serial number of the product
  • A detailed description of the problem you are having and the reason for the return
