Flat glass is a big part of the glass industry. Architectural flat glass is used in the solar industry, for flat panel monitors, windscreens and windows. Flat glass we can see (and see through) every day.

Also advanced technologies like the solar industry or the display industry are using very thin flat glass for solar panels and small thin touchscreens.

The requirements and technical specifications for flat glass are getting higher, and for this it is important to have an accurate temperature measurement in every single manufacturing step.

LumaSense offers pyrometers to measure the glass surface in the annealing lehr, to measure inside the glass with a penetration depth, and to measure through flames inside the tin bath (hot zone) or surface temperature (cold zone).
