Occupational exposure risk with chemical substances used in fumigation processes exists in all their application. In agricultural and forestry practices, leak can occur in the fumigant handling system and threat the operator. After decontamination processes of goods stored in quarantine, or when unloading transportation container, workers are at risk if the fumigated enclosed volume has not been properly ventilated.
Highly sensitive and accurate gas monitors are often required to protect the work environment due to the high toxicity of some substances and because of repeated exposure situations. The Photoacoustic Gas Monitor INNOVA 1512 is a natural candidate for this type of trace gas monitoring needs in rugged environment and/or field conditions. It features excellent portability and once it has been set up for a specific monitoring task, it is easily operated with the push of a single start/stop button. It has very stable performances, and calibrations are only recommended twice a year.
