Microphone technology, for example, is an important tool in measuring gases through the use of Photoacoustic Spectroscopy – also known as PAS. Gas Sensing Product Line
Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) quantifies known gases. While the technology has long existed, LumaSense Technologies’ ANDROS® brand pioneered NDIR gas analysis for automotive emissions and patient monitoring.
Our INNOVA product line includes portable analytical instruments and precision sensors for gas monitoring based on Photoacoustic Spectroscopy (PAS). PAS technology uses infrared light to “excite” the gases which generates an acoustic signal detected by highly sensitive microphones. INNOVA analyzers continue to be a favorite among R&D departments worldwide. Industrial hygiene, emissions monitoring, and HVAC are among the many industrial applications that use INNOVA gas analyzers.
