Details

The two-piece portable M316 Blackbody Calibration Source is an ideal unit for field calibration or verification of infrared temperature sensors.

The calibration source of the M316 is contained within a compact, hand-held housing weighing only 0.9kg (2.0 lbs.). It is connected by a flexible cable to the 0.70kg (1.5 lbs.) indicating controller, which can be carried via the handle. Because of the small size of the calibration source, the operator can easily position it to read the sensor, even in hard to reach locations. Consequently there is no need to remove the sensor from its position.

The M316 calibration source covers a temperature range from ambient +5 to 300 °C (572 °F), with an accuracy of ±0.5% of reading ±1°C.
