Casting & Forging
In casting and forging applications, temperature is more and more an indication of quality. To keep processes on a high level temperature measurement is one of the most important values you can get.

The Challenge
In casting and forging applications correct temperatures of all process steps are instrumental in meeting the specified quality requirements and achieving optimum properties of end products. Also closed loop process control and documentation of measured data are more and more required.
To minimalize the measurement errors from external influences temperatures should be measured with the shortest available wavelength. In very harsh environments two color pyrometers are the best choice. Measuring large parts with different temperatures is also important then checking temperature uniformity.
Our Solution
Our infrared products accurately measure all relevant temperatures to establish a stable production process. Operators are capable to control and influence parameters for best product quality. With single-, two color pyrometers and thermal imagers all process steps can be monitored and recorded. Special functions implemented in our products help you to analyze and optimize your process.
IMPAC pyrometers and MIKRON thermal imagers monitor all relevant process temperatures.
LumaSense offers you a wide range of specific pyrometers, thermal imagers and accessories to address the harsh environment surrounding in the casting and forging area. This includes steam, high temperatures and water spray.
The TQCS (Temperature Quality Control System) software can be used in combination with digital or analog pyrometers for complete recording and documentation of temperatures for every single processed piece on up to 30 machines simultaneously.
