Steve Abely joined LumaSense Technologies in July of 2012 as our CFO and became our new CEO in February 2013. He has over 25 years of experience leading technology and manufacturing companies. While President and CFO of StorMedia, Steve oversaw the company through its IPO and tripled the company’s annual revenue. Over his seven-year tenure as CFO of Bookham (now Oclaro), a leading supplier of optical components and subsystems, Steve led the company through several major acquisitions. Steve holds a BA in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Vice President, Strategy and Product Management
Bill brings over 30 years’ experience in senior Sales, Marketing and General Management positions for several technology based instrumentation & sensor companies. Most recently with RAE Systems (Honeywell), he managed the Radiation Business Unit and was responsible for business unit strategy, business development, product development and operational execution. Prior to RAE, Bill was Business Unit Director with Raytek, a division of Fluke (Danaher) leading sales, marketing and product development teams to triple annual revenue over his 11 year tenure. During his 3 years as General Manager for Watlow’s multi-zone controls business, Bill grew the business 130% resulting in record business unit profitability. He also has held senior management positions at Luxtron and TSI. Bill earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Sr. Director, People
Pat has over 20 years’ experience in the People Management field and brings a broad human resources background to LumaSense. She held prior roles at Endwave, Applied Materials and Read-Rite supporting manufacturing companies globally. Most recently Pat was Sr. HR Director at MarkLogic partnering with business leaders world-wide supporting business objectives and improving organizational effectiveness. She has a BS in Human Resources Management from California Polytechnic State University.
Vice President, Global Operations
Diane has worked in manufacturing her entire career. Diane spent the first 20 years of her career in the disk drive industry – manufacturing thin film media for Nashua Corporation and StorMedia and then leading the wafer fab team at Read-Rite Corporation. Her experience in wafer fabs led Diane to England where she was VP operations for Bookham Technology. After returning to the US, Diane worked at Varian Medical, Xyratex International, Immersion Corporation and most recently CAE Healthcare, where Diane held the position of Sr. Director US operations and Site Manager. Diane’s strengths are focused on building strong teams and implementing robust business solutions. Diane holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Vice President, Engineering and Development
Jose has over 20 years’ experience as a senior engineering leader. He has a strong working knowledge in many engineering disciplines including hardware, software firmware and mechanical. Jose has been very successful in motivating teams to achieve company goals. His global experience includes Fluke/Raytek. Most recently Jose held the position of Director of R&D and Engineering for QualiTau Inc. a reliability, parametric and test services company. Jose holds a Bachelors of Engineering from Santa Clara University.
